C++ / Go Software Engineer for Video Solutions (AVA security)

To speed up development of Ava Security portfolio (https://www.avasecurity.com/) we are looking for engineers with knowledge of either C++ or Go (and willingness to learn the second one). We are working in cross-functional scrum teams consisting of architects, developers & testers. Our team works closely with Ava teams in London and Oslo.

We are looking for open-minded and self-driven engineers to work on camera firmware and cloud-based video management system 

Responsibilities include:

• implementing advanced software modules that follow design patterns
• creating design and software architecture
• peer reviews of the code
• testing developed solutions

Basic Requirements

• Practical experience either in modern C++ or in Go and willingness to learn second one
• Experience and knowledge of unit tests frameworks like GoogleTest
• Linux experience at least at a user level
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, SOLID principles
• English language skills at level allowing efficient communication

Optional Qualifications:

• Knowledge of CI/CD process and related tools
• Understanding of service-oriented architectures and building cloud-based products
• Experience with scripting languages (like Python)
• Experience with TCP/IP, RTP, network programming
• Experience with multithreaded applications (incl. processes, threads, mutexes, interrupt handling)
