Project description

Our program was started as the migration of the financial instruments trading legacy mainframe system to a new technical, highly-scalable platform. The success of the program in both the migration and creation of a scalable platform led to it being selected as the strategic platform providing full-scale of investment management services for one of the biggest financial institutions in the world. This has led to significant further investment for legacy system migrations and technical improvements. we have teams across several locations (New York and Wroclaw) on those projects.

Your tasks

  • Take part in meetings with business representatives on regular basis discovering the business need to be addressed and information related to the product and project requirements
  • Produce business requirements documents (BRD) based on outputs from meetings with business representatives
  • Organizing, specifying and modeling the requirements to ensure they are complete and unambiguous, documenting the requirements in a format that can be shared with stakeholders and development/QA teams
  • Follow up to gain the official approval that BRD meets business needs and could be passed to development teams. Ensuring the requirements map to the real business need, are approved by all relevant stakeholders, and meet essential quality standards
  • Identify change requests during discussions with business and extract them into separate portions of the scope
  • Deliver to development teams a clear idea of what should be implemented
  • Assist business in testing during QA phase and present working functionality to business users

Who we're looking for?

  • Ability to use different requirements elicitation techniques, ability to document requirements in a concise and specific manner
  • Ability to communicate with senior stakeholders including expectation management
  • Domain and Solution modeling skills, knowledge of modeling notations UML, BPMN etc
  • Knowledge of SDLC and BA functions during different SDLC phases
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Knowledge of XML
  • Domain knowledge of at least 3-5 years experience is a must in the financial/investment domain (preferably: Capital Markets/Financial Markets industry within an Investment Bank, Broker dealer, asset manager or similar experience from consulting or FinTech organization)
  • Ability to manage Product Backlog and facilitate key meetings such as Sprint Planning, Product Backlog Refinement and Sprint Review
  • Ability to manage Scrum team (~5-8 FTE)
