Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Lead Business Analyst to oversee our team of analysts and drive the customization and enhancement of our core insurance software product to meet specific client needs. This senior role requires a deep understanding of both the technical and business aspects of insurance software, combined with strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of business analysts, setting clear goals and expectations, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Strategic Analysis: Conduct high-level business and systems analysis to create strategic plans for software customization that aligns with long-term business goals.
• Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their strategic needs and ensuring their requirements are met.
• Advanced User Story Development: Oversee the creation of detailed user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure they meet complex business needs.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process optimization and lead efforts to implement effective changes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Risk Management Leadership: Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize risks associated with project execution and software customization.
• Documentation and Reporting: Ensure comprehensive documentation and reporting standards are maintained across projects for consistency and clarity.

Requirements

• Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in SQL, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint.
• Deep knowledge of insurance software platforms and extensive experience in system integration.
• Fluency in German and English is required.
• Willingness to travel as needed for client engagements and team meetings.
