Internship profile: EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEERING
Location: Katowice 

 What will you do?

• Designing and implementing software of embedded devices and systems.
• Analysing and enhancing efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources.
• Review code and design.
• Integrate and validate new product designs.
• DRMs and CA support in Middleware.
• Support for requests in current projects
• Maintenance of common Unistack core components (network, security, content protection).
• Creating and maintenance of technical documents for software modules.

• Knowledge and experience – essential skills for a good start at ADB are: basic-level of C, C++ or Java programming and object-oriented design, practical understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
• Problem-solving skills – you probably know that problems are an integral part of a Software Engineer’s work. You should know where to look for information and how to compare or analyze various solutions. Your approach is key here
• Quick learner – We want you to work like us – be an independent specialist, who knows how to do IT good. But to reach it out, you need an open mind, learn fast and talk with more experienced specialists in your team
• Self-development orientation – we want to help you grow by giving you support and the opportunity to find your way to success
• English skills – at least conversational English – enabling reading technical texts and using English tools. ADB is an international company and our language is English; the team communicates in Polish

Additional skills, which allow better find yourself at work:

• Experience in embedded systems programming.
• Experience in Linux OS programming, possibly on embedded systems.
• Android development experience (application and/or system level).
• Knowledge of multimedia streaming solutions (MPEG-DASH, Apple HLS, Microsoft Smooth Streaming).
• Knowledge of security technologies & data protection solutions (SSL/TLS, X.509, Digital Rights Management).
• Knowledge of video compression & coding technologies (MPEG-2, MP4, H.264, HEVC, VP9).
