Due to increasing demand to deliver high quality employee experience solutions for Leading International Bank Business, we are looking for a Senior Unix Engineer .
This role is part of the Global Unix SRE team and be located in Poland. The role will demand in-depth knowledge in Platforms, RedHat Linux, Low latency investigations, Automation, System monitoring and performance tuning.
The role will require support over the weekend - ( probably once a month) Work out-of-hours/weekends on a rotational basis for the Re-build Projects with the days off to be taken back in lieu

- The core focus of the role will be obsolescence remediation and rebuilding servers from RHEL 6/7/8 to RHEL 9.
- Work collaboratively and transparently with all infrastructure and Application teams
- Perform & Support Server Migration activities (P2V / V2V)
- Change planning, coordination, and implementation. Adhere to Change Control and Fault Reporting Procedures.
- Audit, Risk and Control engagement.
- Business continuity management.
- PTP Configuration and Administration experience will be an advantage.
- Put forward ideas to improve automation and/or efficiency and own till implementation.
- Drive Delivery/Engineering teams to provide fit-for-purpose solutions, as required.
- Infrastructure stability and pro-active health management.
- Problem Management and Root Cause Analysis.
MUST
- Experience in writing shell script & ansible playbooks to automate task.
- Experience in performing OS installation & upgrade-related activities on RHEL environment.
- Experience in Server Migration activities from DC to DC
- Low Latency experience
- Knowledge on Unix Configuration management of Puppet
- OS server fine tuning and optimization experience
