We are an IT department (approx 50 people) who are in lean agile mode and have people based in London, Poland and India.

What are we doing?

Simplifying the Supervisory activities carried out by Front Office Supervisors, enabling them to be more efficient and focused on monitoring Conduct.

Prior to DEER Supervisors carried out their supervisory tasks via an array of dis-connected communication channels and emails - these methods are complex and time-consuming. DEER aims to enhance the Supervisors capabilities by providing them with a single ‘1 stop shop’ reporting dashboard and inbox. The platform ingests a broad range of Controls and Reference data (from global golden sources of data), and presents Key MI and escalation tasks in a variety of Dashboards for the Supervisor and COOs.

We have adopted a Micro Service based architecture. We are building a new Ingestion Framework, new Trade Lifecycle Controls modules and enhanced Task functionality leveraging an existing in-house Workflow utility. We have dedicated UI and UX teams building new dashboards and enhancing existing presentations.

Our product is a high profile, important initiative for the Bank. As this is rolled out across 50+ countries it will result in a step-change in operating effectiveness for the various user-communities and personas.
