- As a Software Development Engineer you will be a member of the Agile team, developing leading software for energy portfolio optimization.
- Analyze the requirements and propose the technical solution.
- Develop the change and ensure proper code and product quality. Most of your work will be related to backend development (90% of work) with some minor changes to UI (10%).
- Optimize the API performance to address the growing size of data stored in the system.
- Create Unit Tests.
- Document provided changes and the way it was validated.
- Together with the Team take responsibility for the sprint and quarterly planning, decomposing the backlog, estimating the effort needed to provide change, security checks in cooperation with Security Team, release preparation and delivery.
- Cooperate with QA, DevOps, 1st and 2nd line of support to handle issues reported by the Customers.
- Gain business knowledge about the energy market.
- Minimum of 3+ years of work experience in development and maintenance of highly available commercial systems
- Proficiency in Java, Hibernate, multithreads
- Efficiently uses SQL
- JavaScript basics – being able to make simple changes based on existing code.
- Good English skills, both written and spoken.
