The Lead CloudOps Engineer is a critical part of our SaaS platform strategy. This is a technical leadership role, as an individual contributor. You will work closely with engineering, security, and cloud operations teams. You will be leading projects and initiatives, identifying and prioritizing areas to improve, staying up to date with industry trends and planning for the continual evolution of cloud infrastructure and processes.

- Master knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure in support of our products, understand all dependencies. Work with product engineering team to simplify architecture and improve operations
- Participate in agile ceremonies with the product team, backlog refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives. Ensure operational requirements are included in team sprints
- Provide estimates and sizing for requirements. Help guide your teams work and ensure consistency and accuracy in their pull requests
- Identify and drive changes to ensure cloud infrastructure is designed for scale, resiliency, security and efficiency
- Create and maintain Operations Runbooks and Playbooks
- Support and guide other CloudOps engineers, ensure consistency in their work and assist in their professional growth and development
- Work with compliance, engineering and security to implement and maintain SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certifications
- Provide continuous feedback to Product, Engineering, Security and Cloud Operations teams
MUST
- 7+ years in a CloudEngineer/DevOps role building and operating applications on AWS. Experience with AWS IAM, SSO, RDS, EKS, S3, OpenSearch
- 3+ years managing Kubernetes in a production environment
- Expert experience writing and deploying infrastructure as code (Cloudformation, Terraform)
- Worked with CI/CD tools such as: (Jenkins, Github Actions)
- Experience working with Java and NodeJS apps
- Experience with one or more scripting languages
- Experience as Lead DevOps role
- Significant engineering experience as a developer working with Java, node.js and one or more scripting languages
- Worked in a GitOps environment (ArgoCD)
- Experience with observability tools (CloudWatch, DataDog)
