As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution engaged in innovative data solutions to support business needs. The project involves designing and building large-scale data products, integrating complex data systems, and leveraging emerging trends in data tools and analysis techniques. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the robustness, scalability, and future-proofing of our client’s data infrastructure.
Your main responsibilities:
- Communicating between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Undertaking data profiling and source system analysis
- Designing, building, and testing complex data products
- Building and leading teams for data integration services
- Selecting and implementing resilient, scalable data technologies
- Producing and aligning data models across multiple subject areas
- Designing and managing metadata repositories
- Responding to and resolving database and data process issues
- Using agreed standards to design, code, test, and document programs
- Reviewing specifications and defining test conditions

You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Proficiency in communication for data-related discussions
- Experience in data analysis and presenting insights
- Ability to design and build large-scale data products
- Expertise in selecting data integration technologies
- Understanding of data modeling concepts and principles
- Knowledge of metadata management tools and practices
- Skills in problem resolution for data products and services
- Experience in programming and building data engineering solutions
- Strong technical understanding of core data engineering concepts
- Ability to define and execute testing processes
- Fluent English
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Experience with Hadoop, PySpark, Scala, Hive, and Java
- Knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem and data management frameworks
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices
- Experience with BigQuery, DataProc, and Python
