The project focuses on the architecture, design, and continuous evolution of a specialized software automation framework for video collaboration devices, embedded systems, and integrated conference room solutions.

The objective is to establish and maintain a scalable, modular, and extensible automation architecture supporting complex hardware-software integration, device connectivity, system interoperability, and reliable validation across multiple product configurations.

The role involves architectural ownership of the automation framework, including defining its technical direction, designing core infrastructure components, establishing engineering standards, and ensuring long-term maintainability and adaptability across the product portfolio.

The successful candidate will combine advanced Python engineering expertise with proven experience in framework architecture, embedded and video collaboration systems, and hardware-software integration. The role requires a strong understanding of connectivity technologies and device interfaces used in modern conference room systems, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, UVC, UWB, and PIR sensors.

  • Own the architecture and technical evolution of the automation framework, defining its overall structure, core components, interfaces, and long-term development strategy.
  • Design and implement scalable, modular, and reusable Python-based framework components, libraries, services, and infrastructure abstractions.
  • Define architectural principles, design patterns, coding standards, and engineering guidelines to ensure consistency, maintainability, and extensibility across the framework.
  • Architect framework capabilities for embedded devices, video collaboration products, and integrated conference room systems, covering device control, configuration, connectivity, and system-level interactions.
  • Design reusable abstractions and integration mechanisms for hardware interfaces and connectivity technologies, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, USB Video Class (UVC), Ultra-Wideband (UWB), and Passive Infrared (PIR) sensors.
  • Architect execution orchestration, scheduling, parallelization, resource management, and integration mechanisms supporting automated workflows across multiple hardware and software configurations.
  • Design and evolve framework infrastructure for integration with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, development workflows, and software delivery processes.
  • Establish robust architectural approaches to logging, diagnostics, reporting, artifact collection, observability, and failure analysis.
  • Evaluate existing framework architecture, identify technical limitations and architectural debt, and implement structural improvements to reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Define integration contracts and reusable interfaces that enable consistent adoption of framework capabilities across different products, teams, and engineering environments.
  • Collaborate with software, embedded, system, hardware, and quality engineering teams to align framework architecture with product architecture, connectivity requirements, device interfaces, and evolving engineering needs.
  • Provide technical leadership through architectural reviews, design discussions, code reviews, and guidance on framework implementation and integration.
  • Investigate complex framework-level and hardware-software integration issues, identify root causes, and implement architectural solutions that prevent recurring problems.
  • Maintain architectural documentation, technical specifications, interface definitions, and implementation guidelines.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the automation platform, ensuring that architectural decisions support future product requirements and efficient reuse of engineering capabilities.
