WHAT MAKES US, US
Join some of the most innovative thinkers in FinTech as we lead the evolution of financial technology. If you are an innovative, curious, collaborative person who embraces challenges and wants to grow, learn and pursue outcomes with our prestigious financial clients, say Hello to SimCorp!
At its foundation, SimCorp is guided by our values — caring, customer success-driven, collaborative, curious, and courageous. Our people-centered organization focuses on skills development, relationship building, and client success. We take pride in cultivating an environment where all team members can grow, feel heard, valued, and empowered.
WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT FOR US
SimCorp is investing in the integration layer of SimCorp One. We are looking for a Platform Test Architect to extend our platform capabilities for automated, repeatable cross-system testing, the crucial layer between system tests and end-to-end flows. Your work will enable product and platform teams to validate release candidates after the merge gate and qualify deliveries at scale across our service ecosystem.
You will work closely with our Application Test Architect to cover the full testing spectrum. In addition, you will collaborate with architects responsible for platform services, engineering pipelines, and infrastructure to ensure testing capabilities integrate seamlessly into our delivery processes. Your focus will be on platform capabilities and execution, while our Application Test Architect leads application-side practices and client-facing testing coordination. Together with other architects, you will close today’s gaps and establish modern, scalable testing as a first-class engineering concern.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
To ensure success in this role, you will be involved in the following areas:
-
Integration testing platform: Design and deliver a shared platform for integration testing of SimCorp One services (Microsoft Azure, Azure Kubernetes Service, .NET), enabling teams to add, run, and automate cross-system tests efficiently and repeatedly.
-
Quality gates: Operationalize post-merge quality gates for release candidates, including contract and application programming interface testing, integration suites, sanity and smoke tests, and define the process for exceptions or waivers.
-
Drive requirements: Help standardize testing capabilities in our eco-system and define how systems can test integration patterns.
-
Adoption and enablement: Drive organization-wide adoption through templates, reference implementations, and recommended practices that teams can extend.
-
Test data and environments: Define the strategy for test data and environments, including synthetic data, data masking, and production-equivalent snapshots, in collaboration with our operations and platform teams.
-
Performance and load testing: Lay the groundwork for performance and load testing as a future phase, including tooling choices, service level agreements, and monitoring.
-
Documentation and alignment: Document and align at scale by authoring reference architecture documents, patterns, and playbooks; publishing via the Architecture Hub; and measuring adoption and impact.
Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that SimCorp remains an efficient, transparent leader in financial services, directly contributing to our strategic objectives and long-term success.
HOW WE WORK
At SimCorp, we believe that our success is driven by the collaboration and innovation of our people. Here is what you can expect and what we hope you'll bring to our team:
-
Community leadership: You will be a key driver in the Testing Technical Collaboration Council, collaborating daily with platform and application architects, product owners, product managers, and value streams.
-
Decision rights and alignment: You will have architectural decision rights and ensure alignment with adjacent core areas, including security, compliance, Site Reliability Engineering, and product.
-
Testing review: As part of our architectural review of system and services, you will be responsible for reviewing the testing strategy of the system
-
Enablement and scaling: The role is focused on building foundations and guidelines for other teams to scale; documentation and alignment are essential.
-
Coaching and enablement: Parts of your time will be dedicated to the coaching and enablement of our Tech Leads and Engineering teams, with most of your time focused on architecture decisions and design.
