About the Project & Role
KD Pharma is launching a company-wide Data Revolution initiative to modernise its data platform and reporting landscape. Power BI is at the heart of the current BI environment, and the company is now moving towards a more scalable, consistent and well-governed approach to analytics and reporting. As a Senior BI Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping how KD Pharma uses data across the business. You’ll combine hands-on Power BI development, data analysis, stakeholder management and BI governance to:
- Turn complex business needs into clear BI solutions
- Build and improve Power BI reports, dashboards and semantic models
- Work with business stakeholders to define meaningful KPIs and metrics
- Improve data quality, consistency and reporting standards
- Partner with the Data/BI engineering team as the new data platform evolves
- Help establish scalable BI processes and best practices
Responsibilities
- Work with business stakeholders to understand reporting, analytics and information requirements.
- Translate business requirements into BI solutions, reporting specifications and data requirements.
- Design and develop dashboards, reports and analytical outputs.
- Analyse and interpret complex datasets to support business decision-making.
- Define and maintain reporting metrics, KPIs and business definitions.
- Support data transformation and data-model design for reporting and analytics.
- Investigate data-quality issues and work with relevant teams to resolve them.
- Ensure reports and analytical outputs are accurate, consistent and fit for purpose.
- Collaborate with data engineers, application teams and business users across the full delivery lifecycle.
- Present analytical findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Support improvements to reporting processes, governance and BI standards.
- Prioritise BI requirements and help manage the reporting/analytics backlog.
- Provide guidance and support to other analysts where appropriate.
- Introduce a change-request gate and a report-certification standard for the estate, and retire redundant reports.
- Operationalise the report subscriptions and status-rule scorecards already prototyped but never rolled out.
