About Blocks.ai

Blocks.ai is a new initiative being built by PubNub, a global technology company with more than 15 years of experience powering real-time applications and digital experiences. The Blocks team operates with the pace, ownership and experimentation of an early-stage product while benefiting from PubNub's proven global infrastructure, engineering expertise and established company foundation. This role is part of PubNub and will be dedicated to building developer awareness, adoption and community for Blocks Network.

Blocks.ai is the secure network for the Internet of Agents. We solve what happens after someone builds an AI agent: helping them make it reachable, discoverable, useful and commercially viable without taking on a new infrastructure project. An agent stays wherever its developer chooses to run it and connects to Blocks Network through a single outbound connection—no inbound ports, static IP, DNS or firewall configuration required. Blocks.ai handles the routing, discovery, presence, streaming, security and economics between agents and the people, applications and other agents that need them.

About the Role

Blocks Network is looking for a Developer Marketing Manager to help developers discover, understand, try and adopt our platform, with an initial focus on builders creating AI applications and agents. You'll own developer marketing across awareness, acquisition, activation, engagement and advocacy, turning technical product capabilities into useful, credible stories and experiences that meet developers where they learn, build and share. Working closely with Product, Growth, Engineering and a dedicated Developer Relations (DevRel) partner, you'll create and distribute technical content, campaigns, demos and developer programmes while continuously improving the journey from first discovery to first successful build.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and execute developer marketing programmes that drive awareness, qualified developer acquisition, activation and ongoing engagement for Blocks Network.
  • Develop clear positioning and messaging for AI application and agent developers, translating APIs, SDKs and technical capabilities into relevant developer outcomes without losing accuracy or credibility.
  • Build an authentic presence in the developer communities and ecosystems where our audience learns, builds and collaborates.
  • Listen to developers, participate in technical conversations and turn community and product feedback into actionable marketing and developer-experience insights.
  • Partner with Developer Relations to create and distribute tutorials, technical demos, sample projects, integration examples, launch content, workshops and other developer resources.
  • Independently prototype lightweight demos, examples, landing-page experiences or technical marketing assets when useful.
  • Plan and distribute campaigns and content across developer channels such as documentation, GitHub, newsletters, social platforms, community forums, events, partnerships and relevant third-party ecosystems.
  • Improve the developer journey from discovery through first successful build by using qualitative feedback, product data and funnel analytics to identify friction and test ways to increase activation.
  • Define and report on meaningful developer-growth metrics including qualified acquisition, activation, engagement, retention and advocacy.
  • Use analytics, experimentation and developer feedback to continuously prioritise and improve programmes.

Why Join Blocks.ai

  • Blocks.ai is creating the connective layer for an emerging Internet of Agents, and this role will help shape how its first developer communities discover, understand and use it.
  • You'll have room to test ideas, work directly with the people building the product and see the impact of your work in what developers build and share across the network.
  • You'll help establish the developer marketing motion from an early stage rather than inheriting a mature playbook.
  • Because Blocks.ai is being built by PubNub, you'll combine the pace, ownership and experimentation of a new venture with the backing of proven global infrastructure and an experienced technology team.
  • As a remote-first company, we value flexibility, collaboration and continuous learning.
  • We offer competitive compensation, equity, thoughtfully designed benefits and flexible remote-work policies to support your success and well-being.

Minimum Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in developer marketing, technical marketing, Developer Relations, developer advocacy, technical product marketing, developer growth, or another role combining technical products with external developer engagement.
  • Strong technical fluency: you can understand APIs, SDKs, code examples and modern software-development workflows well enough to communicate accurately and participate credibly in developer conversations.
  • Experience creating technical content or developer resources such as tutorials, demos, documentation, sample applications, integration guides or workshops.
  • Evidence of helping developers move beyond awareness toward evaluation, hands-on product use, activation or adoption.
  • Experience using data, analytics, experimentation or developer feedback to understand performance and improve developer journeys or programmes.
  • A community-minded, collaborative approach and comfort working across Product, Growth, Engineering and Developer Relations.

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience marketing APIs, SDKs, developer tools, cloud infrastructure, open-source technology or developer platforms.
  • Familiarity with AI application development, AI agents, LLM tooling or adjacent developer ecosystems.
  • Experience building or growing developer communities through GitHub, Discord, Reddit, Stack Overflow, developer events, open-source ecosystems or similar channels.
  • Ability to use AI-assisted development tools to prototype simple demos, sample applications, landing-page experiences or other technical marketing assets.
  • Hands-on experience with Python, TypeScript or another modern programming language.
  • Experience measuring and improving developer acquisition, activation, engagement or retention funnels.
