- 5+ years of relevant experience in Java backend development
- experience working with Spring & Spring Boot frameworks
- familiarity with and proficiency in using Jenkins and Maven
- experience working with relational databases and SQL
- ability to translate mathematical equations into code
- understanding of web services and familiarity with monitoring tools such as Logstash, Kibana, and Elasticsearch (nice to have)
- experience working efficiently in Agile environments and with BDD practices
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- customer-oriented approach, team-player mindset, and focus on partnership-based relationships
- continuous improvement mindset and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- ability to plan and prioritize work
- fluency in English; Polish or French as an asset
Responsibilities
- Developing code by applying Software Craftsmanship best practices and quality standards (technical debt, clean code, review, peer programming, infrastructure as a code etc.)
- Understanding business requirements and defining technical solutions to implement them
- Regularly delivering product increments
- Applying release processes, and L1/L2/L3 support in case of production issue by applying technical fixes
- Integrating and applying Agile methodology by participating, and contributing to all ceremonies
- Actively collaborating on specifications, test plans and certification together with Business Analysts
- Providing technical analysis, effort estimation and risk assessment to support project scoping and ensure the solution meets business needs
- Seeking the most appropriate solution to ensure security, scalability and efficiency
- Analyzing errors and contributing to continuous improvement solutions
- Sharing knowledge with other Team Members
- Participating weekend operations for resiliency tests, upgrades etc. (2-3 weekends per year)
- Developing and maintaining continuous delivery tools
- Creating and managing technical documentations
