• Design, develop, and maintain server‑side Java applications supporting trading platforms.
  • Build robust, scalable solutions using the Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, traders, and engineering teams to deliver mission‑critical features.
  • Optimise application performance for high throughput and low‑latency execution.
  • Ensure code quality through unit testing and end‑to‑end automated testing.
  • Participate in DevOps initiatives, contributing to CI/CD pipelines using Git/GitLab, Maven, and Jenkins.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions in real‑time environments.

Work Arrangement

  • This is a hybrid role based in Warsaw, with three days per week in the office. For candidates located outside Warsaw, we are open to remote contract arrangements.
  • The role is offered primarily as a permanent contract (Umowa o Pracę – UoP). B2B contracts are also available.
  • Salary range: 30,000 PLN – 40,000 PLN (depending on experience and contract type).

Core Competencies & Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Java (8+) with experience building server‑side applications.
  • Expertise in Spring, Spring Boot, and Maven.
  • Hands‑on experience with web application frameworks such as Angular or React.
  • Solid understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and application performance tuning.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps processes, and deployment automation.
  • Familiarity with message queue systems such as Kafka or JMS, and RESTful services.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Java development.
  • Prior experience in electronic trading systems, brokerage platforms, or financial services technology is a strong advantage.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, ELK, Grafana, or Prometheus
