Workday Consultant

This role focuses on delivering high-impact Workday integration solutions that enable seamless payroll and HR operations for global organizations. You will act as a trusted technical and functional expert, helping clients maximize the value of their Workday ecosystem through well-designed, reliable, and scalable integrations. The position requires close collaboration with customers, internal engineering teams, and stakeholders to define requirements, implement solutions, and ensure smooth data flows across systems. You will work in a fast-paced, consulting-driven environment where adaptability, problem-solving, and precision are essential. A strong emphasis is placed on payroll-related integrations, compliance, and data integrity across complex HR systems. Accountabilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement Workday integrations with a focus on third-party payroll systems, ensuring accurate and efficient payroll data transfers.
  • Partner with customers to define project scope, gather requirements, and set clear expectations for integration delivery.
  • Support clients in maximizing Workday value by implementing certified integrations that automate and streamline HR and payroll processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration and data flow issues, including payroll validation and field mapping challenges.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance and expand integration capabilities, identifying opportunities for improved functionality.
  • Ensure compliance with data security, privacy standards, and regulatory requirements when handling sensitive HR and payroll data.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including data flow diagrams, mappings, and process documentation.
  • Manage stakeholders and project deliverables to ensure timely, high-quality implementation outcomes.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Workday Consultant, with strong expertise in Workday Core HCM and third-party payroll integrations.
  • Workday certifications in Core Connector Tools (CCTPP) and Integration Core; experience with Studio, Prism, Extend, or custom reporting is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday integration tools such as EIB, Workday Studio, Core Connectors, and APIs.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, including gross-to-net calculations, tax rules, and wage types.
  • Experience integrating Workday with external payroll systems and managing complex data flows.
  • Solid knowledge of Workday HCM modules such as Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Compensation, and Recruiting.
  • Strong consulting background with a focus on client value delivery and solution-oriented engagement.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
