Business Intelligence Consultant

Location: Deventer Employment: 32 - 40 hours per week

Your Role As a Business Intelligence Consultant at TIG, you combine substantive expertise with ownership of your projects. You design, develop, and implement BI solutions for our clients, primarily educational institutions and chain partners. Simultaneously, you contribute to the further professionalization of our project-based approach.

You act as a substantive sparring partner for clients and a connecting factor for colleagues. You monitor progress, communicate clearly about scope and planning, and ensure projects run smoothly. This way, you not only help clients work data-driven but also help TIG collaborate more structurally and effectively.

What you will do * Translate functional and technical client requirements into concrete BI solutions. * Design, develop, and test dashboards and data models (Qlik Sense, QlikView, or Power BI). * Access data sources via ODBC, DWH, APIs, and web connectors. * Take ownership of project results: planning, alignment, progress, and delivery. * Organize meetings with clients and internal teams. * Document, transfer, and evaluate delivered solutions. * Provide training and workshops to users. * Identify areas for improvement in working methods and contribute to a more project-based approach within TIG. * Contribute to new opportunities and presales processes (such as proof-of-concepts).

What we ask?

  • Minimum HBO level, preferably in Business Administration & IT or a comparable field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a BI consultant or data analyst.
  • Experience with developing dashboards in Qlik Sense, QlikView, and/or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with project-based work (Agile or similar).
  • Knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and data integration (REST/SOAP, JSON, XML).
  • Good communication skills in Dutch, both oral and written.
  • Ability to translate client questions into clear solutions and set priorities.
  • A proactive, analytical, and collaborative attitude.
  • Interest in not only building substantively but also contributing to structure and process improvement.
