The Role
We are looking for an experienced AI Engineer / AI APIs Integration Developer to join our friendly team! You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust integrations between AI models (LLMs, embedding models, etc.) and our digital products. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong backend development skills and a passion for leveraging AI to solve real-world challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend services that integrate third-party AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, etc.).
- Develop and document RESTful APIs and webhooks to expose AI capabilities to internal and external applications.
- Build and orchestrate AI agents and autonomous workflows using modern frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI).
- Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and integrate with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS).
- Ensure production-grade reliability through error handling, retries, rate limiting, logging, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with product managers and frontend engineers to translate business requirements into AI-powered features.
- Manage API security, authentication (JWT, OAuth2), and secrets management.
- Monitor model performance, latency, and costs, proposing optimisations as needed.
- Conduct code reviews, write technical documentation, and share best practices with the team.

- Fluent in English.
- Minimum of 3 years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years focused on API integration or backend development in Python.
- Proven track record of successfully integrating AI/ML models or services into production applications.
- Strong understanding of REST API design, asynchronous programming, and database systems (SQL, NoSQL).
- Proficiency with Python and frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerisation (Docker).
- Knowledge of LLM frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex) and agentic workflows is a strong plus.
