The purpose of a Product Owner is to maximize the value of the product by defining a clear product vision (are they setting the vision or would this align to ), managing authoring, refining and prioritizing the Product Backlog balancing trade-offs across desirability, viability and feasibility – making sure the right thing is being ‘built’, and prioritising work based on business goals. They act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring the product meets user/customer needs and delivers optimal value. Product Owners are responsible for developing a roadmap and driving execution of their product area/sub-journey, applying continuous improvement principles and techniques.

Join us at Barclays as a Product Owner, where you will be responsible for helping drive customer engagement across Business Banking by defining and executing the CRM strategy and salesforce roadmap. This role centres on leveraging CRM capabilities, data, and digital tooling to enhance colleague workflows, strengthen customer interactions, and improve engagement across the full customer lifecycle. You will work closely with engineering, feature teams, business stakeholders, and customer‑facing colleagues to deliver CRM enhancements that directly support business strategy and team OKRs. This position requires strong product ownership, stakeholder management, and a delivery mindset — ensuring that customer‑engagement journeys and CRM capabilities evolve through continuous improvement and iterative delivery.
This role will be located at 1CP Canary Wharf, however travel to Shoreditch 1x per week is required.

To be successful as a Product Owner, you should have experience with: * Owning a product backlog and roadmap * Practical experience and proficiency with Agile tools and frameworks such as JIRA, Confluence, Scrum, and Kanban * Writing clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements documentation * Managing a Product backlog, sequencing work logically, and driving iterative delivery * Working across the full software development lifecycle, from discovery to release and continuous improvement * Salesforce CRM design and delivery, including translating business needs into workable Salesforce solutions that support colleague workflows and customer engagement * Collaborating with engineering, design, data, and business teams to deliver features that streamline processes, automate interactions, and support consistent engagement
Some other highly valued skills may include: * Previous experience working as a Product Owner in customer engagement, customer acquisition, or CRM * Familiarity with APIs, integrations * Ability to communicate complex CRM or technical concepts to a range of stakeholders * Strong cross‑functional collaboration, including with engineering, frontline teams, and operations * Previous product owner experience in a Financial Services institution * Experience contributing to large‑scale technology transformation programmes * Agile certification
