Role Intro
INMAP (Input Management Platform) is a core enterprise platform used for large‑scale document intake and processing. It provides OCR‑based document classification, data extraction, validation, and export capabilities and is used across multiple business areas. INMAP integrates SmartFIX, a specialized OCR and document processing solution, and extends it with custom workflows, rules, and integrations to downstream systems. A significant part of the platform’s behaviour is implemented using SmartFIX SPL, a domain‑specific scripting language used to define business rules, data mappings, and processing logic.
As a SPL Developer for OCR you will work primarily on SmartFIX SPL development, building and maintaining the business logic that drives document processing, OCR workflows, and system integrations. You will work close to business processes, document automation, and rule‑based systems, and who are comfortable owning critical production logic.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain SmartFIX SPL scripts that implement document processing logic
- Configure and extend OCR workflows, including classification, extraction, validation, and export
- Implement and maintain custom business rules within SmartFIX using SPL
- Support integrations between SmartFIX and surrounding platform components (e.g. export services, downstream systems)
- Analyse production issues related to OCR logic or SPL scripts and provide fixes
- Collaborate with Java developers, business analysts, and OCR specialists to translate requirements into SPL logic
- Contribute to documentation and knowledge transfer for SPL and SmartFIX configurations

Skills
- Strong experience with SmartFIX SPL
- Writing, maintaining, and debugging spl scripts
- Understanding how SPL drives SmartFIX workflows and behavior
- Experience working with rule based or workflow driven systems
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical logic
- Experience supporting production systems with high reliability and quality requirements
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
Additional skills
- Java development experience (used in surrounding services and integrations)
- Experience with OCR platforms, document processing, or input management systems
- Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns and data flows
- Experience working in regulated or large‑scale enterprise environments
- Understanding of end‑to‑end document processing pipelines
