Engineering Manager - Platform

To expand our core team, we are hiring an Engineering Manager - Platform who wants to play a pivotal role in growing our product development team and transforming the private markets industry.

Your primary responsibilities will be ensuring our engineering output delivers tangible value, as well as technical and architectural direction and team resources. You will be involved in shaping the future of the tech team as we grow to the next stage. We are focusing on Product Excellence and building sustainable tech processes.

  • You will lead a platform team and have full accountability for delivering reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure and tooling that enable product squads to solve real customer problems.
What you will be doing
  • Lead, grow, and support the platform team through coaching, clear expectations, and a culture of ownership, reliability, and continuous improvement.
  • Own the platform strategy and roadmap, prioritising initiatives, managing team capacity, and ensuring strong execution and impact.
  • Provide technical direction for our AWS- and Kubernetes-based platform, guiding architectural decisions that balance speed, reliability, security, and cost.
  • Oversee cloud infrastructure and IaC practices, ensuring the team delivers secure, resilient, well-managed AWS environments.
  • Drive improvements to CI/CD and developer experience by setting direction, aligning stakeholders, and removing friction for product teams.
  • Champion observability and reliability, ensuring robust logging, metrics, tracing, and effective incident response practices.
  • Partner closely with product, engineering, security, and operations experts in the company to align standards, resolve cross-team issues, and support smooth service integration.
  • Maintain platform quality by steering tech-debt reduction, documentation, and alignment with security and compliance expectations.

To excel as a member of the Product Development team, you should combine a passion for technology with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong problem-solving skills.

  • You are a team player with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
  • 3+ years' experience leading teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in software engineering with a preference for a Platform/DevOps/Infrastructure engineering background
  • Strong technical foundation in Cloud technologies (we work with AWS), Kubernetes, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or similar).
  • Experience guiding teams that build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments.
  • Solid understanding of observability, reliability, and operating distributed systems at scale.

Nice to have:

  • SRE background, familiarity with SOC 2/ISO 27001, and experience with TypeScript, Python, or Go.
  • Experience with private markets, fintech, highly regulated industries, or document processing is a plus
