Group Strategic Analytics (GSA) is part of Group Chief Operation Office (COO) which acts as the bridge between the Bank’s businesses and infrastructure functions to help deliver the efficiency, control, and transformation goals of the Bank.
You will be joining the Core Platform Engineering team, which delivers an information security compliant environment for the bulk of the Strat application space. This includes software development in Python, C++ and Google Cloud (GCP) Infrastructure as Code as well as liaison with non-financial-risk officers and platform System Administrators. These environments are used to run large scale real time and batch computation and are critical to meet the commitments of the business to both clients and regulators. The team develops high quality tools whilst working hard to foster a culture of collaboration and engineering excellence. You will make a crucial contribution to the efforts to accelerate the delivery of changes required by the bank’s committed to meeting internal audit and regulators requirements in this area, which are frequently driven by tight regulatory requirements.
