Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.

We're seeking a talented and enthusiastic Java Back-End Engineer with a strong background in Eclipse Rich Client Platform. You will play a key role in designing, implementing and maintaining a modular extensible desktop application, built on the Eclipse ecosystem. Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust features, improve application performance and ensure long-term maintainability of a complex component-oriented software product.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by following good practices and habits
  • Develop new Eclipse RCP plugins and extend existing ones
  • Integrate third-party libraries, frameworks and services into the RCP application
  • Contribute to all stages of software development lifecycle
  • Identify and resolve any technical issue arising
  • Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code
  • Create design documentation
  • Support QA team to provide high quality
  • Work in a scaled Agile working environment

Skills

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of development experience within Java projects
  • Hands-on experience with Eclipse RCP, Eclipse IDE and plugin development
  • Good understanding of SWT and Eclipse UI frameworks
  • Used with Agile development methodologies and tools: Jira, Git, Maven, TeamCity, Artifactory and other continuous integration tools
  • Ability to analyze problems and propose effective solutions
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
