Remote Senior Golang Backend Developer

We are now expanding our engineering capacity and inviting top developers to join us remotely as part of our core backend team. You’ll work directly with our product and engineering leaders in Germany, no outsourcing, no middle layers, just real product ownership and technical impact.

Responsibilities 

• Design, implement, and maintain backend services in Go. 
• Develop and optimize database schemas and queries in PostgreSQL. 
• Implement caching strategies and session management using Redis. 
• Build secure authentication and authorization flows (JWT, RBAC). 
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment. 
• Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot applications on GCP. 
• Integrate with third-party APIs (Twilio, SendGrid, Veriff) as needed. 
• Collaborate closely with frontend, mobile, QA, DevOps, and product teams.
• Participate in agile processes (standups, planning, retrospectives, refinements). 
• Support QA and production releases, including hotfixes and incident response. 
• Document backend logic, endpoints, and integration points for team use

Must-have skills & experience 

• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in backend development in Go (Golang) 
• Education: Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (Master’s preferred) 
• Programming: Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) for backend development 
• Databases: Solid experience with PostgreSQL (schema design, optimization, migrations) 
• Caching: Practical experience with Redis (session management, caching strategies) 
• Authentication / Authorization: Knowledge of JWT, RBAC, and secure AuthN/AuthZ principles 
• CI/CD: Experience designing and maintaining cloud-native pipelines 
• Cloud: Experience deploying and operating apps on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (including Kubernetes) 
• API Design: Strong understanding of RESTful API design and documentation 
• Testing: Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing 
• Version Control: Skilled in Git, code reviews, and collaborative workflows 
• Agile: Comfortable working in Scrum / Kanban environments using Jira 
• Communication: Clear communication with distributed, cross-functional teams 
• Language: English B2–C1

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, and alerting on GCP
