About the role

We’re seeking a highly skilled AI Automation Engineer with strong prompt engineering, data automation, and conversational AI experience. In this role, you will architect and maintain the full ecosystem powering our AI Support Automations, AI Astrologer, and AI Astro-Cartography features. This is not a simple chatbot job — it is a long-term, high-impact product role shaping the intelligence, memory, workflows, and end-to-end automations behind our platform. You will collaborate closely with Product, Customer Support, Engineering, and our team of astrologers to create human-like, accurate, emotionally aware AI systems that scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Review real user transcripts to identify knowledge gaps and failure points.
• Continuously expand and update our internal knowledge base.
• Improve intent detection, routing logic, and fallback responses.
• Build new automated solutions for top issues (billing, subscriptions, account access, delays in astrologer replies, etc.).
• Collaborate with Product & Support teams to boost resolution rates and reduce human escalations.
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance across all AI automation flows.
• Build data pipelines aggregating quiz responses, purchases, astrology data, and reports.
• Structure and serve this data to the AI for highly personalized conversations.
• Implement and optimize short- and long-term memory systems.
• Create conversation starters, weekly horoscope flows, and personalized follow-ups.
• Work with the Product Manager to ensure conversations feel natural, human-like, and astrologically grounded.
• Continuously analyze conversation quality and refine prompts, rules, and safeguards.
• Build tailored, context-aware AI chat modules for each user’s report.
• Train the AI to interpret maps, planetary lines, and relocation meanings.

Location

Hint operates within the CET (Central European Time) zone. Applicants from any country are welcome to apply for the position as long as they are located within approximately ± 4 hours of CET. This ensures optimal collaboration and communication during working hours.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in automation engineering, AI engineering, or conversational AI development.
• Strong experience with prompt engineering, conversational flows, and LLM-based systems.
• Skilled in low-code or workflow automation tools (e.g., n8n, Zapier, Make).
• Proven ability to integrate APIs and build stable data pipelines.
• Experience designing intelligent automations for support, personalization, or content generation.
• Strong understanding of conversational UX, intent systems, memory, and rule-based logic.
• Experience working cross-functionally with product, support, and creative teams.
• Familiarity or interest in astrology is a plus — willingness to learn is essential.
• Autonomous, fast-moving, and comfortable building MVPs that scale.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with analytics tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude, Looker) for evaluating conversation quality and user behavior.
