Role Summary:

We are building a brand-new team responsible for delivering key components to the next step in Data as a Service (DaaS) – a strategic Data Platform that will enable London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) to unify, manage, and distribute data in a consistent and scalable way. This initiative is a key part of the LSEG–Microsoft strategic partnership, combining financial technology innovation with modern cloud capabilities. As a part of this team, you will work collaborating closely with one of the world’s largest cloud providers to design and implement solutions that power global financial markets. The first major delivery will be an Enabler for MCP Servers, laying the foundation for advanced AI-driven capabilities across the platform. This is a great opportunity to join rapidly developing project, shape its architecture, and build a platform that will transform how data is delivered across the industry.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead a team of several software engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and ensuring successful delivery of platform components.
  • Design, develop, and deploy applications across all phases of the software lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain distributed systems in a cloud environment.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, including CI/CD pipelines for services.
  • Collaborate on API development and integration.
  • Work with modern infrastructure tools and practices to ensure smooth deployments.

Compensation Information:

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated annual gross base salary for this position is between zł284,500 - zł474,300. Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Bonus Plan (”bonus plan”). Target Bonus % will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job-related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Expert-level programming skills with proven ability to design and implement complex systems.
  • 12+ years of experience in high-scale production environments.
  • Strong experience in distributed systems development and cloud-native architectures.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented and functional programming principles.
  • Hands-on experience with data engineering (Spark SQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Familiarity with Python (advantage).
  • Experience with alternative databases such as CockroachDB, Redis, DuckDB.
  • Solid understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Terraform, deployment pipelines, and GitLab CI.
  • Development experience with VS Code, dev containers and one of Cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure).
  • Strong understanding of API development and integration.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with MCP servers and AI Foundry.
  • Knowledge of modern cloud deployment strategies and infrastructure automation.
