Senior Scala Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Scala Engineer with deep expertise in Scala, TypeScript, architecture, and DevOps practices. In this role, you’ll have a dual focus: ensuring the architectural integrity of our applications and driving infrastructure improvements that support scalability, reliability, and performance across the team.
You’ll be at the intersection of development and operations—designing solutions, overseeing infrastructure changes, and contributing to the full lifecycle of our products. You’ll collaborate with engineers across different domains, ensuring smooth integration between software and infrastructure, while championing best practices in automation, CI/CD, monitoring, and cloud deployment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on coding while also overseeing architecture and infrastructure strategy. You’ll have the freedom to propose and implement improvements, experiment with modern tools, and ensure our systems are built with quality and sustainability in mind.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee team-wide architecture and infrastructure changes
- Design, build, and maintain scalable solutions
- Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and automation
- Ensure system reliability, performance, and security at scale
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products
- Take ownership of DevOps practices: infrastructure as code, deployments, observability
- Share knowledge and guide the team in modern DevOps and architectural practices
- Mentor engineers and support their growth in both development and operations

Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Scala development
- Solid expertise in architecture and infrastructure design
- Proven experience with DevOps tools and practices (CI/CD, monitoring, logging, alerting)
- Hands-on experience with AWS and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Strong understanding of microservices, serverless, and event-driven systems
- Experience with TypeScript is a plus
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerization is a plus
- Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases
- Solid background in test automation and TDD principles
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Upper-intermediate English or higher
