Job Title: Fraud Countermeasure Team Lead (Fraud Platform)

Location: Tallinn

Departments: Fraud Countermeasure

In Veriff’s Fraud Platform team, we’re tackling the online fraud challenge in a scalable way — deploying excellence to stay ahead of attackers and protect trust online. It’s a dynamic, high-stakes space where speed, precision, and innovation matter every day.

We’re on the lookout for exceptional talent to join as a Fraud Countermeasure Team Lead — a role driving the tactical defense layer of Veriff’s Fraud Platform. By fusing threat intelligence, behavioral analytics, and real-time signals, the Countermeasures team uncovers new attack patterns, prioritizes them by business impact, and ships detection logic that blocks fraud within hours. You’ll manage a team of fraud experts, own the attack-backlog roadmap, and ensure every countermeasure maximizes protection while preserving user experience, speed, and trust.

You’ll help us protect honest people online by:

  • Leading, growing, and developing a Fraud Countermeasures team that ships high-impact fraud rules at pace by nurturing a culture of accountability, experimentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Translating raw threat intel into a focused detection strategy and aligning the team’s backlog with the Fraud Platform’s north-star metrics.
  • Owning end-to-end delivery—planning sprints, removing blockers, and helping the team ship countermeasures in hours, not weeks, while communicating crisp updates to executives and the wider company.
  • Championing tooling and process upgrades—automating intel ingestion, detection testing, and rule deployment—to ensure the team scales faster than the fraud landscape.
  • Partnering with product, data science, and engineering stakeholders to craft a long-term vision for proactive detection and inspiring the team to pursue it independently.
  • Contributing to Veriff’s global fraud risk posture reinforcement.
  • Fostering a red-team mindset: treating every missed fraud case as a controlled breach and driving cross-functional squads to hunt, replicate, and shut down attacks faster than they can scale.
  • Supporting career growth, feedback culture, and skill development in alignment with our internal product management principles.

  • A strategic mindset and proven ability to align team efforts with measurable business impact.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling alignment across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A passion for mentoring and creating inclusive, high-performing team cultures.
  • You approach complexity with curiosity and tenacity, thrive on uncovering root causes, and seek practical, sustainable solutions to high-impact problems.
  • A mindset geared towards innovation and product discovery.

You’re an especially awesome match if you have:
