The Opportunity:
We’re seeking a hands-on Director of AI and Automation to drive the design, build, and scaling of real-world AI applications. You’ll launch projects that boost retention and experience for millions of users and merchants, while fast-tracking automation throughout our business.
Where You’ll Have Impact:
- Lead and execute our global AI strategy—prioritize what really works, pilot, scale, and measure success.
- Own delivery of AI-powered solutions: from NLP and automated recommendations to cutting-edge workflow automation and agent orchestration.
- Work cross-functionally with agile teams in Product, Engineering, Data, Infrastructure, and Ops to turn business needs into shipped solutions.
- Champion responsible AI: ensure every solution is secure, GDPR/AI Act-compliant, and measurable in ROI.
- Drive transformation: Set up robust frameworks for experimentation, evaluation, and rapid scaling of what delivers real value.
- Real executive sponsorship for AI-First transformation
- Build what matters: your work will be shipped, used, and matter from day one
- Move at scale-up speed, not corporate pace—your ideas will shape the company
- High autonomy, smart collaborators, global reach
- 8+ years hands-on experience in real-world AI/ML delivery (production systems, not just models or prototypes)
- Strong background in both process automation and machine learning—leveraging platforms such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, UiPath, Blue Prism, RPA
- Cloud ecosystem fluency: GCP, AWS
- Experience with modern AI tooling (vector stores, RAG frameworks, agent orchestration)
- Bias for action and measurable business results—not AI “slideware”
- Thrive leading lean, agile project teams and influencing cross-company stakeholders
- Fluent English; able to collaborate across the globe, with major locations in the USA, Europe and India
