Adobe Commerce Backend Developer

Responsibilities:

We are looking for an experienced Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento) Backend Developer with a strong focus on API-driven development, cloud environments and headless architectures. You have the expertise to extend and create robust REST and GraphQL endpoints, optimise performance with Fastly and integrate with modern storefronts. You are also ready to use your expertise in the Adobe Commerce Cloud and learn new technologies such as Edge Delivery Services and Adobe App Builder.

• Conception, implementation and maintenance of backend systems for complex e-commerce platforms based on the Adobe Commerce Cloud
• API-driven development to meet specific business requirements of our customers, incl. creation of custom queries, mutations and types
• Analysis and optimization of platform performance in cloud environments, including configuration of CDN solutions (Fastly) and caching strategies (e.g. VCL) to ensure high scalability and availability
• Implementation of headless integrations with decoupled frontend solutions (e.g. Progressive Web Apps, Custom Storefronts) 
• Contribution to quality assurance and process optimization by establishing best practices for code quality, test strategies and deployment processes (CI/CD, DevOps)
• Helping to shape interdisciplinary collaboration through proactive, effective and collegial communication within the team and with our customers' stakeholders

Qualifications:

• You have successfully completed an IT-related degree and communicate confidently in English and Polish
• Extensive experience with Adobe Commerce backend development as well as a profound understanding of cloud environments and scalable integration architectures
• Tech stack: PHP, JavaScript (especially Node.js), REST and GraphQL APIs, proficient with Git, Composer, Docker / basic knowledge of React and frontend understanding are a plus
• Experience with Fastly CDN, Varnish Configuration Language (VCL), Edge Delivery Services (EDS) and Adobe App Builder
• Soft skills: Strong analytical skills, proactive problem solving, joy in communication and collaboration with different stakeholders
• You are also familiar with working in agile development teams and have a high commitment to clean code
• Open to working in a hybrid mode, with 1 day per month at our office in Katowice
