This is a unique opportunity to be an integral part of the talent engine driving a high-growth company that is reshaping the biotech landscape. As a Desktop End User Engineer, you will play a critical hands-on role in implementing and managing Moderna’s end user computing infrastructure. Operating in a fast-paced environment, you’ll be expected to combine technical precision with intellectual agility. This individual contributor position, based in Warsaw, will see you collaborating cross-functionally to deliver an exceptional technology experience for Moderna employees. Curiosity, collaboration, and a commitment to continuous improvement will be key as you contribute to our mission to deliver the best possible digital experience to our internal customers.

Here’s What You’ll Do

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Implementing, maintaining, and administering end user computing devices and ecosystems, including systems and application software, hardware, and configurations
  • Setting up, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining end user devices including laptops and mobile phones
  • Providing proactive, innovative solutions for system performance, reliability, and availability challenges
  • Delivering advanced support and acting as an escalation point for tools like JAMF, Intune, and O365 Administration (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Ensuring a premium user experience during new hire onboarding, PC refreshes, mobile phone deployments, and A/V meeting support
  • Independently leading small-scale initiatives and technical projects with minimal supervision

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Troubleshooting and repairing OS-level issues, Microsoft Office Suite problems (including Outlook email/calendar), third-party software, and hardware incidents
  • Performing imaging, secure data wiping, asset control, and documenting all activities in the ticketing system
  • Supporting Apple iOS devices and contributing to best practices in device management
  • Constantly identifying opportunities to improve the digital workplace and end user satisfaction
  • Providing best-in-class customer service and technical support to employees across functions
  • Executing additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications)

  • 4+ years of experience in IT Deskside/Desktop break/fix support or similar role
  • Associate degree or technical institute degree; a combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Prior experience working with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments
  • Strong technical skills in desktop hardware, software, and peripherals

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)

  • 3+ years of experience directly related to Bio/Pharma preferred
  • Excellent Windows and Microsoft Office Suite trouble shooting skills, as well as hardware trouble shooting skills
  • Experience with Apple device support for both MacOS and iOS, including the JAMF environement
  • Experience with desktop imaging and deployment processes
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Experience with mobile device management (MDM)\Service Now ticket system experience a PLUS
  • Excellent attention to detail, customer service skills, multi-tasking skills, ticket management/documentation skills, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization
  • Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources
  • Strategic, but also pragmatic, detail-oriented with a willingness to be hands-on
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
