This is a unique opportunity to shape the digital backbone of a hypergrowth biotechnology company. As a Senior Systems Engineer, Treasury & Banking, you will join Moderna’s Warsaw hub to lead and optimize the integrated Treasury technology landscape. With Kyriba at the core—and SAP S/4HANA, banking networks, and downstream financial systems forming the broader ecosystem—you will drive modernization and compliance across liquidity management, cash positioning, bank connectivity, in-house banking, and FX exposure management. Your cross-functional work with Treasury, Accounting, and external banking partners will ensure the design and delivery of secure, scalable, and audit-ready digital treasury solutions. You will help deliver on Moderna’s ambition to digitize finance processes and accelerate operational excellence through automation. The role also provides opportunities for certification sponsorship and exposure to generative AI tools that are transforming treasury functions worldwide.

Here’s What You’ll Do

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Serve as the solution lead and SME for Kyriba across core modules: Payments, BAM, Cash Forecasting, IHB, Cash & Liquidity Management, Risk Management (FX/Hedge), and Financial Transactions.
  • Lead the delivery of secure and scalable SAP banking and payment solutions integrated with corporate Treasury objectives.
  • Oversee global bank integrations including SWIFT, host-to-host, API, and ISO 20022, ensuring seamless SAP-to-Kyriba data flow for payments and bank statements.
  • Drive SAP module integration (FI-GL, FI-AP, Treasury, AR) with Kyriba for full bank reconciliation and clearing.
  • Design optimized workflows in Kyriba for liquidity planning, netting, FX hedging, and in-house banking operations.
  • Ensure Treasury system security through controlled user roles and compliance with SOX/GxP frameworks.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable Treasury technology solutions; manage testing cycles and build Treasury-specific runbooks.
  • Maintain deep partnerships with Treasury, Tax, AP, and external banks to lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Leading the rollout of new Kyriba functionalities across global business units.
  • Supporting SAP payment hubs and managing new bank/legal entity integrations.
  • Enhancing global cash visibility and supporting forecasting models.
  • Troubleshooting cross-system payment and reconciliation flows across Kyriba, SAP, and external banks.

Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience supporting Treasury technologies in a global environment.
  • 3+ years hands-on Kyriba experience across key modules (Payments, BAM, IHB). Experience in Kyriba Cash & Liquidity Management and Risk management is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of SAP Financials (FI), payment processing, and bank formats (MT, XML, ISO 20022).Hands-on experience with SAP Banking and Payment Solutions is a plus.
  • Experience configuring user roles and workflows in Kyriba or similar TMS platforms.

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience integrating Kyriba with SAP
  • Exposure to cash pooling, netting, hedge accounting, and regulatory filings.
  • Experience onboarding banks and configuring host-to-host or SWIFT connectivity.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional rollouts across global Treasury and Finance teams.
  • Practical exposure to hybrid SAP-Kyriba treasury solutions, ensuring alignment between core ERP and treasury operations
