The Contact Center team is looking for a hardworking software engineer to help take Zendesk products to the next level in terms of functionality and integrations. You’ll be joining a team that works on our Voice products. Voice is a complex real-time application that needs to be robust, scalable and maintainable. You’ll have the passion, patience and determination to deliver high quality software to meet our customers needs. Does this sound like you?

What you’ll do

  • Join a dynamic, self-organizing team focused on delivering core functionality for our Voice product.
  • Contribute meaningfully through all phases of the software lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operations.
  • Take ownership of features and bug fixes—working independently on well-defined tasks and collaborating on complex challenges.
  • Participate in prototyping, code reviews, and rapid deployment cycles to keep our codebase robust.
  • Proactively investigate issues, identify root causes, and help develop automated tests to prevent regressions.

Tech Stack & Tools

  • We code primarily in Ruby/Rails for the backend, for the frontend primarily React JS (Redux).
  • We use MySQL, Redis and Kafka for event processing.
  • The backbone of Zendesk Contact Center is built on AWS and Amazon Connect.
  • Our infrastructure is run on Kubernetes and our delivery pipeline is heavily reliant on Github & Github Actions, once deployed we monitor using Datadog.
  • We communicate over Slack and use Zoom for meetings etc. Google Docs, JIRA, Confluence are our most used collaboration tools.

This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.

The Poland annualized base salary range for this position is zł164,000.00-zł246,000.00. Please note that while the salary range represents the minimum and maximum base salary rate for this position, the actual compensation offered will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives that will be communicated during the offer stage.

What you bring

  • Experience building software with JavaScript (React) and with either Ruby/Rails or Golang.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable giving and receiving peer feedback.

  • Flexibility to work across the stack, learning new technologies or debugging production issues as needed.
