As a Batch Administrator, you will join the team of experts, responsible for the maintenance and further development of batch infrastructure. The team takes responsibility for the daily batch business on the mainframe and in the distributed world, steers the provider, and takes care of the JCL data basis and all the batch infrastructure components. 

As a Batch Administrator, you will participate in long-term projects related to migration between schedulers in the distributed world area.

  • fluency in English  
  • 5+ years of experience in mainframe infrastructure and applications in a high-availability enterprise environment 
  • knowledge of batch processes on the mainframe and in a distributed world 
  • experience with any batch scheduler for example ZWS (on the mainframe) 
  • experience within the ITIL processes: Service Request Management, Change and Release Management, Incident Management 
  • knowledge of mainframe and client/server infrastructure 
  • knowledge of ProcMan, Smart JCL, TWS Graph, XINFO and JCL 
  • analytical thinking, problem-solving 
  • continuous improvement attitude and proactive mindset 
  • independent and self-motivated 
  • willing to share the knowledge with the team 
  • excellent communication skills 
  • willingness to travel (once every 3-4 months) 

Nice to have 

  • knowledge of Control-M or UAC Stonebranch
