Role Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Server Test Engineer to join our team, focusing on the MariaDB optimizer. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and stability of our database by developing and maintaining robust test suites.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain tests specifically for the MariaDB optimizer.
- Collaborate closely with Optimizer Engineers to understand new features and develop comprehensive tests for them.
- Analyse query execution plans, and performance profiles to identify performance problems.
- Monitor and analyze continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) test results, identifying and triaging regressions caused by code changes.
- Contribute to improving the overall test infrastructure and processes.
Qualifications
- 5 or more years of related experience.
- Proficiency in Git for version control.
- Strong knowledge of SQL.
- Solid background in relational databases.
- Experience with performance profiling and analysis tools is a plus.
