About the Role: Value Stream Product Manager, Business Services

This role leads the overarching product strategy across the Business Services Solutions platform, encompassing Investment Operations Services (IOS), Investment Accounting Services (IAS), and Data Management Services (DMS). This platform is crucial for delivering scalable, efficient, and cohesive service solutions to our clients.

Unlike domain-specific Product Managers, this role owns the holistic business services strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment, scalability, and a unified client experience across domains and services.

You will own the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for the Business Services solution stream, ensuring alignment with business goals, operational needs, and client outcomes. You will collaborate across product development, solution stream teams, business services functions, and commercial stakeholders to define priorities, guide execution, and drive continuous improvement.

This is a strategic and cross-functional leadership role, requiring the ability to bridge long-term strategic vision with day-to-day delivery, ensuring solutions are scalable, efficient, repeatable, and built on clear standards.

You will report directly to the Corporate Vice President, Product Development Management, and play a key leadership role within our Product Development organization.

Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Ensure product vision incorporates regulatory, security, data governance standards, market best practices, and client expectations.
  • Conduct market research and competitive benchmarking to identify differentiators and commercial opportunities.
  • Define and drive a cohesive, cross-domain product strategy across IOS, IAS, and DMS.
  • Own the full solution lifecycle: research, discovery, business case, development, launch, delivery, integration, adoption, iteration, and ongoing support.
  • Embed SaaS principles and commercial viability (e.g., pricing strategy, TCO, value realization) into all phases of design and delivery.
  • Drive adoption of repeatable design patterns, reusable components, and shared service standards.
  • Lead product governance forums, strategic reviews, and stakeholder communications, articulating clear value propositions internally and externally.
  • Contribute to go-to-market initiatives, including product documentation, sales, and marketing enablement materials.
  • Provide thought leadership through webinars, whitepapers, events, and sales meetings.

Roadmap Ownership & Prioritisation

  • Translate strategic goals into a clear outcome-driven roadmap shared between Product Development and Solution stream delivery teams.
  • Prioritize across competing demands using data-driven frameworks and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Maintain transparent communication of roadmap goals, changes, and cross-team dependencies.
  • Monitor progress against milestones, metrics, and client outcomes, adjusting timelines, scope, or resources as needed.
  • Ensure delivery adheres to defined standards for quality, scalability, and operational readiness, resulting in stable and repeatable service outcomes.
  • Maintain effective feedback loops internally and externally to refine product direction based on market trends, client insights, and pain points.
  • Own specific OKRs and KPIs linked to reducing onboarding duration and effort, and lowering cost of run, by defining and maintaining the standard for the solution scope.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as a key liaison between stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of goals, expected outcomes, and delivery priorities.
  • Facilitate effective collaboration across teams to identify shared opportunities, manage dependencies, and remove blockers.
  • Provide ongoing leadership throughout the delivery lifecycle, ensuring product features and services are fit-for-purpose, aligned with business needs, and ready for adoption.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams on Quality, performance, monitoring, issue resolution, and SLAs, with a focus on Solution Stream and Value Stream leads.

Strategic Platform Integration & PM Collaboration

  • Serve as the strategic integrator across IOS, IAS, and DMS, ensuring all individual roadmaps contribute to a unified Business Services platform vision.
  • Own and lead Business Services solution prioritization and cross-product coordination, engaging with GPMs/PMs to align their domain-level initiatives with broader platform strategy and client value outcomes.
  • Be accountable for decisions regarding trade-offs, shared services, and standardization, with input from domain leaders and key stakeholders.
  • Drive consistency, reusability, and operational alignment across services, enabling repeatable and scalable delivery models.
  • Create a collaborative, matrixed environment where domain PMs own their execution while contributing to shared goals and platform-wide OKRs.
