The Role: Data Migration Project Manager - Capital Markets
SimCorp Advanced Delivery Center (ADC) was strategically established to effectively cater to clients across EMEA, APAC, and NA. Within the ADC, our Business Consultants collaborate closely with market units, focusing on business functionality and solution workflows. Their expertise ensures the customized configuration and seamless deployment of SimCorp Dimension, our flagship product, for our valued customers.
As part of the ADC Migration Delivery Team, this role entails taking full responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of Data Migration deliverables. The Data Migration Project Manager is accountable for adhering to the agreed budget, orchestrating, overseeing and documenting all aspects of data migration specific projects. They work closely with Project Managers and Regional Teams to ensure each scope of deliverables and direction remain on schedule and align with stakeholders' expectations.
Responsibilities
- Take direct responsibility for the business outcome of projects.
- Organize and supervise the ADC Data Migration Team project activities.
- Ensure swift and smooth project delivery.
- Ensure project prerequisites are available.
- Plan and sequence project activities and ensure their correct setup in Workday.
- Drive Clarification & Design workshops with clients.
- Monitor project progress and report status to stakeholders through detailed reports and summaries, demonstrating the level of services provided in accordance with agreed parameters.
- Coordinate resource availability.
- Validate and approve timesheets and expenses of the Project Team.
- Provide input for forecasting.
- Serve as a role model for business consultants and stakeholders.
- Actively participate in the Delivery Managers’ community.
- Share knowledge and lessons learned with SimCorp employees locally and internationally.
- Continuously expand knowledge of SimCorp Dimension and clients' businesses to ensure optimal configuration and workflow.
- Build and maintain long-term, professional relationships with assigned clients.
What We Value
Your enhanced communication, coordination and interpersonal skills will guide you toward planned outcomes. As our preferred candidate, you will have:
- At least 5 years of experience within delivery management/IT project management in Capital Markets.
- Understanding of financial instruments and products, financial markets, and stock exchanges, or a keen interest in learning about the investment banking industry.
- Good understanding of transaction lifecycle (trade vs settlement).
- Experience with IT implementation projects, particularly in data migration and service onboarding (including analysis, mapping, testing, and deployment), is highly valued.
- Knowledge of the IT services market and the sales process.
- Experience in customer relationship management.
- High personal integrity and culture.
- Commitment, consistency in achieving goals, and excellent organizational skills.
- Focus on efficiency and punctuality in task completion.
- A degree or master's in Finance, Economics, Math, Science, Engineering or similar field.
