That’s where you come in.
The ideal candidate will be able to:
- Create platform tooling and processes that focus on balancing Developer Experience with Platform Governance
- Build, Manage, Govern, Maintain, and Improve compute resources based on Kubernetes in AWS, as well as other compute resources such as EC2
- Create and maintain Cloud Infrastructure with an Infrastructure-as-code approach
- Participate in on-call activities as needed or assigned
- Support and educate product development teams
- Seek continual improvement in business and technical processes
What skill are we searching for?
- Infrastructure as code experience (Terraform preferred)
- Programming experience (Python, Golang, or similar)
- Experience building and supporting cloud applications and resources in AWS
- 1+ years running production workloads in multi-cluster Kubernetes environments
- 3+ years working with DevOps methodologies
- 3+ years working, supporting, and building web applications
- Strong independent troubleshooting skills
- Self-driven and takes pride in doing things well
- Strong communication skills to work with and support product development teams
- Excellent command of written and spoken English (min. B2 level)
Perfect candidate also has:
- Experience in building internal development platforms
- Experience with Observability & Monitoring tools (Grafana)
- Experience with OpenTelemetry standards and technologies
- Experience in writing and/or supporting Django, Flask, or similar web frameworks
- Knowledge of GitOps
- Knowledge of the broader CNCF landscape beyond Kubernetes
- Familiarity working in a compliance-oriented environment (PCI, SOC2)
- Some experience in building Kubernetes operators, or alternatively a software development background
