Role Overview:

As a Senior Engineering Manager (EM), you will be instrumental in modernizing and operating our engineering platform, which supports over 100 teams undergoing a cloud technology transformation. This involves enabling automated deployment capabilities, improving UI and API experiences for internal and external stakeholders, and supporting the SimCorp One vision. You will lead cross-organizational efforts, collaborating with product, architecture, and services teams to ensure the engineering platform effectively supports diverse product deliveries and technology enablers.

Responsibilities:

As an EM, you will lead two software development teams, reporting to the Head of Service Orchestration.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing two teams of Software Engineers, focusing on hiring, growth, and upskilling through 1:1s, feedback, mentoring, coaching, and goal setting.
  • Facilitating agile team processes and removing impediments to team progress.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to align team efforts with the overall business strategy.
  • Defining and utilizing relevant engineering KPIs to monitor team performance and drive improvements in areas such as product quality, security, delivery, and system performance.
  • Staying current with the latest engineering and technology trends, advising the organization on new tools, techniques, and strategies to enhance engineering processes and outcomes.
  • Playing a crucial role in leading and guiding teams within SimCorp to ensure they are well-positioned to support the company's goals and objectives.
