  1. Experience & Certifications

    • Experience as Business Analyst, including at least 3 years on the ServiceNow App Engine.

    • Experience of hands‑on ServiceNow development across scoped applications, Flow Designer, and integrations (REST/SOAP/MID Server).

    • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (SCA) and/or Certified ServiceNow Application Developer (CSA).

  2. Analytical & Communication Skills

    • Excellent at gathering and documenting requirements (user stories, functional specs).

    • Proven ability to run discovery workshops and UAT sessions, and to create test cases and test plans.

    • Strong collaboration with both business stakeholders and technical teams.

  3. Development Competence

    • Proficient in client‑ and server‑side scripting (UI Policies, Business Rules, Script Includes).

    • Experience designing and building custom workflows, Record Producers, and Agent Workspace.

    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing (ATF) in the ServiceNow ecosystem.

  4. Leadership & Mentoring

    • Experience leading a team of ServiceNow developers, conducting code reviews, and setting technical direction.

    • Ability to define and enforce coding standards, design principles, and governance.

  5. Agile Delivery

    • Hands‑on experience in Scrum: backlog management, sprint planning, and execution.

    • High degree of proactivity and autonomy in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Deep functional knowledge of Source‑to‑Pay processes (Procurement, Vendor Management, Contract Lifecycle).

  • Additional certifications: CIS‑ITSM, CIS‑CSM, ServiceNow App Engine.

  • Experience with Automated Test Framework (ATF) and Test Management Plugin.

  • Background in multinational or matrixed organizations.

  • Exposure to other ServiceNow modules: HRSD, CSM, ITOM.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices: IntegrationHub, Terraform for ServiceNow, pipeline automation.

Responsibilities

1. Business Analysis & Solution Design

  • Lead requirements gathering workshops with stakeholders to elicit, analyze and document business needs.

  • Translate requirements into clear user stories, functional specifications and acceptance criteria.

  • Facilitate process-discovery sessions and identify opportunities for automation using ServiceNow App Engine.

  • Define data models, UI flows and integration touchpoints in collaboration with architects.

  • Plan and execute UAT: develop test cases, coordinate end‑user tests, validate results and drive defect resolution.

2. Technical Delivery & Development

  • Architect, design and build custom scoped applications, workflows, record producers and Agent Workspace components.

  • Write and review client‑ and server‑side scripts (UI Policies, Business Rules, Script Includes).

  • Implement integrations via REST/SOAP/MID Server and maintain data mappings.

  • Drive CI/CD best practices: automate builds, deploy releases and integrate with testing frameworks (e.g. ATF).

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, ensuring platform stability and performance.

3. Team Leadership & Governance

  • Mentor and guide a team of ServiceNow developers: conduct code reviews, pair‑programming sessions and skills workshops.

  • Define, communicate and enforce coding standards, architectural guidelines and ServiceNow governance policies.

  • Collaborate with Scrum Master and Product Owner to plan sprints, estimate efforts and track progress.

  • Promote continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned, creating knowledge articles and updating internal best‑practice docs.

4. Strategic Platform Ownership

  • Stay current with ServiceNow release roadmaps; evaluate new features and propose platform enhancements.

  • Partner with the Platform Architect to manage health checks, performance tuning and security compliance.

  • Contribute to roadmap planning for Source‑to‑Pay, ITSM, HRSD or other modules based on business priorities.

  • Support DevOps initiatives: Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform), automated testing strategy and release orchestration.
