The Role

As a Data Scientist, you will be part of the Marketing Intelligence team at dentsu. This team focuses on translating data into insights, primarily through the application of advanced analytics and predictive modeling. Based on these insights, the team advises internal and external clients to optimize their marketing activities.

Your knowledge and skills will complement our team. Clients will perceive you as the analytical eye and the specialist. As a Data Scientist, you have experience working with structured and unstructured data. You are technically adept and capable of merging, processing, and transforming data from databases and various data sources into usable insights. You know how to further optimize and automate processes, for example, with APIs. You apply (new) methods and techniques to answer marketing and communication questions. Therefore, the ideal candidate has a solid background in predictive modeling, advanced analytics, and programming. As dentsu primarily operates within the marketing domain, you will mainly be involved with the following issues: Marketing Mix Modelling, Attribution, Churn models, Customer Segmentation, Real-Time Analytics, Recommendation Engines, and Predictive analytics.

Qualifications and Experience:

To be successful in this role, it is advantageous if you have the following qualifications and experience:

  • A completed master's degree with a quantitative focus (Computer Science, Econometrics, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research);
  • Passion for analyzing (big) data, developing, and applying statistical models;
  • Knowledge of or experience with predictive modeling and machine learning models (supervised and unsupervised);
  • Strong analytical skills. You enjoy diving into data to find answers;
  • Knowledge of or experience with programming (Python, SQL, R);
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Proficiency in both Dutch and English.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of or experience with cloud services (AWS or GCP);
  • Knowledge of or experience with Bayesian Modelling and Mixed Effects Models.
