About The Role
The System Administrator will be responsible for the maintenance and evolution of production, test, and development infrastructure across all PayU platforms in the EMEA region.
What You Will Do:
- Maintain operating systems of the infrastructure, ensuring high Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Perform server installation, configuration, and software upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
- Develop automation for rapid deployment of instances or services from hardened images or pre-configured schemas.
- Build and utilize monitoring tools to identify, resolve, and escalate problems, ensuring SLA adherence.
- Build and manage development and testing environments, assisting developers with application debugging.
- Participate in the development of tools and processes to support the infrastructure.
- Contribute to the creation of system support documentation, such as run books.
- Leverage scripting for ad-hoc automation and tool development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of overall experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with LINUX/UNIX platforms.
- Experience with virtualization platforms.
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Good English language skills.
- Very good knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Practical knowledge of Kubernetes.
- Experience in virtualization and containerization of environments.
- Good knowledge of at least one scripting language.
- Experience working with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Good knowledge of configuration management systems (e.g., Puppet, Ansible).
- Good knowledge of load balancer solutions (e.g., HAProxy).
- Experience managing physical servers.
- Good knowledge of servers and the HTTP protocol.
Additional Advantages:
