The Role

Moderna is seeking a skilled and motivated Sr. SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) specialist to join our global Digital team in Warsaw. This is a key functional role within our SAP Order-to-Cash (OTC) landscape, responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting core SAP SD processes across sales, delivery, pricing, and billing.

This role requires hands-on SAP configuration experience, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of how customer sales and distribution business processes are executed in an SAP-enabled environment. You will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams across supply chain, logistics, and finance to ensure our OTC processes run smoothly, efficiently, and with continuous improvement in mind.

Here’s What You’ll Do

· Configure and support end-to-end SAP SD processes including:

  • Sales order management
  • Pricing and discounts
  • Billing and invoicing
  • Delivery and shipping management
  • Intercompany sales

· Design functional solutions that meet business needs, document requirements, and write clear functional specifications for development teams.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Supply Chain, Commercial, etc.) to ensure seamless integration and process alignment.

· Support integration with SAP FI for revenue recognition, AR, and billing reconciliation.

· Participate in incident resolution, enhancement delivery, and continuous process improvement within the SAP SD module.

· Conduct testing (unit, integration, UAT) and support users during cutover, go-live, and hypercare phases.

· Work with global stakeholders and deliver solutions that scale across regions and business units.

Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications)

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent.

· 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP SD configuration and functional support.

· Strong understanding of OTC business processes in SAP: order management, pricing, billing, delivery, and returns.

· Experience writing and managing functional specifications and solution designs.

· Good understanding of SAP SD integration with FI (Finance) and MM (Procurement/Supply Chain).

· Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into effective SAP solutions.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working with both technical teams and business users.

· Proficient in English (written and verbal).

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)

· Experience working on intercompany processes in SAP.

· Exposure to SAP S/4HANA is a plus.

· Knowledge of basic EDI transactions and interfaces (not limited to US-specific formats).

· Experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry is a bonus, but not required.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment with stakeholders across different time zones.
