About The Team

Our instrument Developer team is responsible for building our Kontakt instrument products, both in-house and working in partnership with external builders and sound designers. The primary focus of the team is building our ‘lighthouse’ sample instruments which innovate and push boundaries, and working with our other teams to develop the technologies that make instrument building more efficient for us and our industry partners.

Your Contribution

  • You will develop virtual instruments that build on our heritage and open new creative possibilities
  • Work closely with team colleagues, product managers, designers, engineers and partners to ensure we deliver amazing products
  • Be a voice for engineering in cross-discipline discussions about future projects and approaches.
  • Establish and nurture best practices in instrument creation, by supporting colleagues and partners, creating documentation and sample projects and innovating future instrument creation.
  • Be a part of us shaping the team that will continue deliver high quality instruments

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Recent experience in team-based software development, ideally in an agile environment
  • Experienced in a scripting language, ideally in scripting musical instruments, for instance KSP.
  • Some experience of computer music production, e.g. using a DAW
  • Experience with using software creation workflow tools such as Git and Jira
  • Values teamwork, knowledge sharing and learning from colleagues in multiple disciplines and demonstrate a collaborative working approach
  • Sees errors and mistakes as an opportunity to learn and improve
  • Has excellent English communication skills
