In this role, you will have the opportunity to (your tasks):
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of cloud engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Define and execute the cloud strategy, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability of cloud infrastructure.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud environments in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Ensure best practices for cloud security, compliance, and cost management are followed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Terraform and CI/CD pipelines into cloud workflows.
- Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption using Terraform and scripting languages.
- Own the "You Build It, You Run It" philosophy, ensuring effective incident management and on-call support structures.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to keep our cloud solutions cutting-edge.
Here are some of the things you'll bring (requirements):
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) — deep understanding of IaC principles, tooling, and best practices (required).
- Cloud proficiency — hands-on experience with cloud platforms; GCP is a strong advantage. Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals, including VPC design, load balancing, and service mesh architectures.
- Kubernetes experience — familiarity with container orchestration; GKE experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach and strategic thinking.
- Proven ability to drive technical roadmaps and contribute meaningfully to the organization’s long-term cloud and DevOps vision.
- High standards for code quality and operational excellence, along with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Understanding of application architecture and how infrastructure choices impact performance and scalability (big advantage).
- Working knowledge of scripting/programming languages such as Python or Go.
