Senior AWS Python Backend Engineer (MedTech)

We are looking for a person who has a solid hand-on skills of various AWS cloud services and containers, combined with good software programming and database skills (Python, Django, SQL). Also some data engineering experience is beneficial on this position.

You will join a project, which we realize for our client - biopharmaceutical company. The aim of the project is to develop a platform focused on data exploration and visualization, what will help in gain insight into the genomic drivers of common diseases. This will facilitate the identification of novel therapeutic targets. 

You will work with technologies and tools such as:

• AWS: Step Functions, EC2, S3, ECR, Cloud Formation, CDK, Lambda;
• Python 3.9, SQL/noSQL (Postgres/DynamoDB);
• Docker, Unix, Bash;
• Git, Github, Kanban;
• serverless, event driven development.

You might be the perfect match if you are/have:

• 4+ years of professional backend software development in Python;
• Good understanding of event-driven development;
• In-depth knowledge of a variety of AWS cloud services and solutions;
• Hands-on solid knowledge of containerisation technologies such as Docker;
• Ability to work with Unix and Bash shell scripting;
• Solid knowledge of databases and SQL/NoSQL;
• Team player with an openness to discuss and collaborate with team members and client representatives in Poland, UK and Sweden;
• Passion for continuous learning and curiosity to solve complex software problems;
• Smooth communication in English (B2+) in an international team;
• Located in Poland for easy signing of cooperation offers and occasional team meetings.
