Alfa Financial Software – the provider of the award-winning Alfa Systems – has selected the Tricity area as the home for its next international technology hub.
Join Alfa, a leading provider of software solutions for the asset finance industry, as they continue to expand their cloud operations. They're looking for a Team Lead – Hosting Operations (24/7) to lead a growing team of junior and mid-level Hosting Operations professionals in the EMEA region.
This is a pivotal role, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring smooth, reliable support for our clients—24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
What you’ll do:
- Team leadership: Build, lead, and mentor a new Hosting Operations team (initially 4–5 FTE) across time zones
- Support junior and mid-level engineers in their growth and development
- Coordinate performance reviews, shift planning, and 24/7 rota coverage
- Operations & process ownership: Oversee and prioritize the daily workload: releases, maintenance, incidents, and client requests
- Own and evolve operational processes with a focus on audit-readiness, transparency, and efficiency
- Work with global stakeholders to align on goals, quality standards, and delivery timelines
- Cross-functional collaboration: Cooperate with Alfa’s Cloud Ops, Solution Architecture, and Delivery teams across regions
- Join leadership calls and planning sessions (including those in US time zones)
- Contribute to tooling, automation, and service improvement initiatives

Where you’ll work:
- Hybrid model: 2–3 days remote, rest from our coworking space at Olivia Centre, Gdańsk
- You'll work closely with teams across UK, Europe, North America
- Quarterly company events in EMEA (travel required 4x/year – London, Europe, etc.)

- Proven experience leading technical operations or support teams, ideally in a 24/7 model
- Solid knowledge of production environments (test/live), incident response, and issue tracking (Jira or similar)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance shifting priorities
- Hands-on experience with core AWS services (e.g., EC2, RDS, CloudFormation, CloudWatch)
- A collaborative, coaching-oriented leadership style
- Fluent English (B2+) for daily collaboration across regions
- Nice to have: knowledge of PostgreSQL, Docker, Linux, DevOps, or cybersecurity
