• Develop and maintain responsive frontend applications using React and Material UI (MUI).
  • Build clean, maintainable, and responsive interfaces with HTML5, CSS3, and TypeScript.
  • Take ownership of UI/UX aspects of the application – we don’t have a dedicated designer, so you will be expected to apply best practices in usability and interface design.
  • Collaborate with backend developers and product stakeholders to deliver seamless user experiences.
  • Implement automated testing for frontend features (e.g. Playwright).
  • Support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
  • Be proactive and capable of working independently, including gathering requirements from the Product Owner and Tech Lead and translating them into code.
  • (Nice to have) Work with backend components written in Python.

You will play a role in developing and maintaining modern web interfaces that support bioinformatics tools and next-generation sequencing (NGS) pipelines. Your work will directly contribute to uncovering biomarkers and improving cancer treatment decisions.   • At least 4 years of professional experience as a Frontend Developer, with a strong focus on building modern, scalable web applications using React.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript – you leverage static typing to build more robust and scalable codebases, and you’re comfortable using TypeScript in a React environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Material UI (MUI) – you know how to use and customize component libraries to build consistent and elegant user interfaces aligned with design system principles.
  • Strong command of HTML5 and CSS3 – you can create well-structured, semantic markup and responsive layouts using media queries, Flexbox, and CSS Grid, ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
  • Experience in UX/UI design principles – even without a dedicated designer on the team, you're able to design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces and apply usability best practices.
  • Solid understanding of frontend architecture and best practices – you write clean, modular, and maintainable code, and you are also familiar with concepts such as component reusability, code splitting, performance optimisation, and accessibility (WCAG).
  • Experience with frontend testing tools – you can write and maintain end-to-end tests using Playwright (or similar tools like Cypress), and you prioritize test coverage and code reliability in your workflow.
  • Comfort with Git and CI/CD tools – you’re familiar with modern development workflows, know how to use Git efficiently, and have experience working with GitHub Actions or other CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment automation.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal – you’re able to work effectively in an international team, contribute to discussions, and write clear documentation or feedback.
  • Located in Poland – to enable occasional in-person team meetings.

Moreover, we appreciate skills in these areas:

  • Experience with Python on the backend side;
  • Exposure to bioinformatics or genomics in life sciences projects;
  • Understanding of scientific workflows, statistical analysis, or machine learning in bioinformatics.
