Scala Developer

THE WORK:

You will join Accenture's Client Team which is responsible for the design and implementation of a high-performing, flexible, robust, scalable, and easily maintainable global reporting solution for the Bank. Your work will be supported by a Product Owner and Solution Architects, and you will collaborate with other Developers and Analysts. You will take part in a wide-scope project, where you’ll have the opportunity to work with the latest technologies and develop your knowledge. 

• Working closely with the clients to understand their business process and requirements in the area of Risk and Compliance.
• Utilizing SQL/HQL(Hive Queries) to extract, clean and transform the data for Process Mining.
• Designing and developing process monitoring dashboards and automations.
• Analyzing, interpreting the findings, drawing conclusions, and recommendations.

Flexible: The work location for this role may include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client, or in an Accenture office - depending on specific project circumstances

Qualifications

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Knowledge of good programming practices and solid experience with functional programming in Scala. 
• Experience with Spark@Scala. 
• Familiarity with the Hadoop Landscape (e.g., Oozie, Kafka, Yarn). 
• Knowledge of SQL/HQL
• Minimum 8+ years of total experience in IT
• Previous project work experience (preferably in Scrum/Agile). 
• Strong communication skills, proficiency in Business English (both written and spoken). 
• Experience with data analysis and visualization.
• Experience in the Financial sector is beneficial.
