• Support on-prem and cloud hosted servers to ensure compliance with global, regional and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for escalations in EU region. Provide necessary support and take care of escalations together with partner.
  • Single point of contract for support partner and application and system owners in EU region.
  • Collaborates with system owners to identify and eliminate hardware and software problems in network and standalone systems.
  • Provides support to the appropriate organizational groups when new systems are implemented, or existing systems are modified.
  • Maintains asset management and system lifecycles for all server room hardware and associated licensing purchased by Fresenius and/or FDT and provides related reports to FDT management upon request.
  • Logs information on general server and data storage performance and server health in accordance with Fresenius policies and FDT procedures.
  • Reviews operational systems for their compliance to standards and flexibility to meet future needs, including system and software upgrades and Internet access.
  • Validates changes in system hardware and software in accordance with approved standard operating procedures.
  • Ensures that all critical data on all computer systems for Europe region are protected and recoverable in the event of a system failure by backup to removable media or other approved means.
  • Works with vendors to acquire quotes and manage licensing and maintenance and support renewals. Works in partnership with other FDT Global Infrastructure teams and towers to synergize projects and expedite major incident resolution.
  • Collaborates with other IT organizations and site departments to identify FDT Global Infrastructure or enterprise IT (EIT) requirements for specialized local or cross-functional systems and implementations.
  • Assists the global programs to land smoothly the changes in the infrastructure geography.
  • Works in partnership with Application Operations to ensure optimized environments.
  • Foster best practices following strategic FDT designs and policies.
  • Point of contact for all Europe Regional Sites for IT support and services, including projects.

  • Associate’s degree in information technology with 7-10 years of related experience is preferred
  • Five plus years’ experience with Microsoft Windows or VMware administration is required
  • Experience in computer systems validations is desirable
  • Fluency in English
